The heart is a delicate thing when constructed from flesh and blood. Replace its working parts with metal gears and a clockwork sensibility and the heart becomes much stronger — if not a wee bit less flexible.

Welcome to Court. What is Court? What, you've never heard of it? Shush and dig deep. Think about it for a while. It's all coming back, isn't it? Yes, of course it is. Don't be so silly asking questions you already know the answers to.

Court is where you've come to make a name for yourself. The person with the most power is Queen but that role is currently vacant. Yes, everyone wants to be Queen, but only one person can. The Queen gets to determine their own parameters, so even if you got the short end of the stick so to say, you can improve your wants greatly. In other words, Queen can set their own destiny.

How do you progress? It's quite simple of course.

Play your role well.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your world has been destroyed - Entirely unmade, to the point where it’s like it never existed. And because of that, the souls of you and everyone you know have been shattered into pieces and erased.

Fortunately, you’re lucky. Whether by strength of soul, or pure dumb luck, you weren’t completely destroyed. One small fragment of your soul was able to be found, and as a result, you can be saved. The method is simple: With the team you find yourself on, play games held by omnipotent-seeming people, and recover the shards of your own soul. By rebuilding your soul, you also rebuild your world and save it from the threat that's been destroying and erasing worlds.
Kyriakos is a team-based memory loss game! Characters accepted will be placed onto one of six teams (although we are prepared to expand and add more teams as the game grows), where they will find themselves with no memories nor any skills they might have had. Upon games being played and won by their team, they will be able to regain their memories and skills, one at a time, until they are completely restored.

"There were formerly a king and a queen, who were so sorry that they had no children; so sorry that it cannot be expressed. They went to all the waters in the world; vows, pilgrimages, all ways were tried, and all to no purpose.

At last, however, the Queen had a daughter. There was a very fine christening; and the Princess had for her god-mothers all the fairies they could find in the whole kingdom (they found seven), that every one of them might give her a gift, as was the custom of fairies in those days. By this means the Princess had all the perfections imaginable."

That's how Sleeping Beauty begins. And that is the beginning of the text written on the book that was placed on top of the glass coffin before the coffin was placed in a cavern and the cavern was forgotten. Before lots of things were forgotten, like how water runs and how trees grow and how to put together a person the right way.

This is the world you find yourself in, called 'Aather' by the Knights that came before you. They will tell you that Sleeping Beauty charged them with certain tasks, protection, guidance, exploration.

You have a lot of questions probably. Why, where -- and who. Because you can't really remember who you are. Don't worry, that's normal. Here you have to fix the pieces and maybe earn your way.

Life can end in the blink of an eye... and yours just did.

But what awaits you in the afterlife may not be what you expected. There are no pearly gates here, nor fluffy clouds, or warm sunshine, and no loved ones awaiting you with open arms. Only an ancient, overgrown castle, and a few too many unfortunate deceased like yourself.

What awaits you instead is a new life in the world of Thusia, where you can make deals with the local gods if you are interested in doing things like eating, and work with the other new 'residents' to spruce up your new headquarters. For despite its age, this ancient castle is rich with life. But not human life, perhaps not even sentient life. Nature has reclaimed virtually every room of what should be your new home. From moss wallpaper to thick vine rugs, not to mention the beasts of assorted shapes and sizes (but which all seems to have many pointy bits). At some point in the past, Nature won a war here, and has been living comfortably ever since. It's hers now, and she has no plans to make room for the sudden tide of newcomers, so if you want some elbow room or a place to call your own, you will have to carve it out of her yourself.

You came here, to this artist’s mad dream world, because something was wrong in your world you wanted out. Out to a place where you compete at high stakes, to take enough power from each other’s thwarted desires to force a change to your own. But-- winning against each other isn’t the only thing you have to contend with. To exit your world and enter Decollage, you had to cement yourself to this world with your memories or abilities as the glue. Those are now lost to you, manifesting as bits of foreign worlds to make up the world around you. So near and yet so far.

Now it’s up to you to see this through to the end, and win. With the entry fee that steep, you don’t want to end up home with less than you started with, do you?

Thou art a Blank slate, unburdened from thy past.

Thou shalt fight in the Judges' games, to reclaim thy past.

Thou shalt honor the rule of the Judges above all else here and know no other patrons.

Who was once thy friends and allies mattereth not to a Blank. Thy unit is thy family here. None other can thou trust.

Thou hast entered this place willingly.

Deep, deep down in the dark, old gods linger, playing games with mortals gathered from all corners of all the world as they wile away the eons. The players, or blanks, arrive as just that; they have no memories of any time before waking in the vast, underground city, nor even of themselves. Now they must play in the Judges' games, struggling against the odds and each other, with the prize for each victory is a small part of their pasts. Win enough and they will be whole again, freed from the sprawling stone labyrinth and granted a wish by the almighty Judges.

Welcome to Sabra La Tau; let the games begin.

Once upon a time, you died

But that was not the end. For in the murky moments after your death, you heard a strange and unexpected voice. It was the voice of a god, and that god had something to offer you: a chance to come to a place called Kohos, where you would be able to earn your resurrection, greater power and freedom, perhaps even a chance to become a god yourself. The price? One and the same as the process: to return to life, your self must be dissolved and reformed. You will lose and then regain your memories, and perhaps you've been warned that the paths of the afterlife are not always easy to walk, even if your personal patron god will be there to guide you. Yet there is so much to gain. And so you find yourself in Kohos, a dizzying network of globes and bridges floating high in the sky above endless clouds, as an intangible ghost remembering only the moment of your death...

Kohos is a small panfandom afterlife RP focusing on character development, memory regain, and divine guidance of varying sorts, with the goal of creating a highly customizable and personalized experience for its players.

Microcosm: 1. n. a smaller system which is representative of or analogous to a larger one; a small, complete world 2. n. a small lab setup used to simulate conditions of a particular environment.

Under a glassy blue, morning sky, a stirring metropolis comes to life. Buses shudder, leaves tremble, and people go about their business. Beneath the busy city streets and rumbling subways, however, it is an entirely different story.

Far removed from the light and movement of the city, you open your eyes to see a plain, cool, gray room. Do you feel a faint thrumming at the base of your skull? A voice buzzes in your head. "Welcome to Micro-Metropolis," it says blithely, "You will be expected to participate in any number of exciting and stimulating exercises. If you have any questions, please consult the laptop assigned to you. Have a nice day, and enjoy your stay."

The laptop confirms your worst fear - you are now an experiment under observation. The only specifications of the experiment seem to be that you will be required to copulate, and do so frequently. Whatever it is that this experiment is intended to prove, you are now part of it... and it wants your body. A foray into the corridor outside your room will prove that you are not alone; there are many more test subjects, just like you in these halls.

Journeying above, through the elevators and the subway system, you'll reach that sparkling city - that microcosm of the world - where you're free to roam and react, find a job, meet new people, sleep with them... and be observed doing it.
